Meet your guide and fellow participants at 6:30 p.m. at the Les Contamines Guides’ office. Welcome drink, trip briefing, and pack preparation.
Day 1 – Les Contamines – Crêtes de Roselette – Vallée de Savoie (2,110 m)
From Les Contamines, a gradual ascent to the Crêtes de Roselette (2,110 m): a first remarkable viewpoint over Mont Blanc and the Beaufortain. An ideal start to immerse yourself in the TMB atmosphere, often accompanied by marmots rather than crowds. A peaceful stage to set the pace of the trek.
Elevation gain 550 m / elevation loss 800 m – Effective walking time: 5 h 30 min
Day 2 – Vallon des Glaciers – Col de la Seigne (2,516 m) – Val Veny
Morning transfer to the bottom of the Chapieux Valley, then ascent to the Col de la Seigne (2,516 m), the natural border between France and Italy. The descent through the Vallon de la Lée Blanche gradually reveals the imposing south face of Mont Blanc. Passing by Lake Combal before reaching the Monte Bianco Hut, with a terrace overlooking the Aiguille Noire de Peuterey and the Brenva Glacier.
Elevation gain 700 m / elevation loss 850 m – Effective walking time: 7 h
Day 3 – Entrèves – Mont de la Saxe – Hut above Pré de Bar
Local bus transfer to Courmayeur for resupply and an Italian gelato. Then ascent to the stunning Mont de la Saxe balcony, a true vantage point over the massif: Mont Blanc, Grandes Jorasses, ridges, and glaciers as far as the eye can see. End of the day at the hut, overlooking the Pré de Bar Glacier and its terminal tongue.
Elevation gain 700 m / elevation loss 550 m – Effective walking time: 5 h
Day 4 – Grand Col Ferret (2,537 m) – Swiss Val Ferret
Ascent to the Grand Col Ferret (2,537 m), the border crossing between Italy and Switzerland. The landscape changes: leaving the steep Italian terrain for the rounded Swiss pastures. Descent into the Swiss Val Ferret, then bus transfer from La Fouly to Champex, where the night is spent.
Elevation gain 550 m / elevation loss 550 m – Effective walking time: 5 h
Day 5 – Champex – Trient – Col de la Forclaz
Depending on conditions and the group, ascent either to a wide viewpoint over the Rhône Valley or to the more technical Fenêtre d’Arpette. Descent to the Col de la Forclaz, then transfer to the Moulin guesthouse.
Elevation gain 1,100 m / elevation loss 1,385 m – Effective walking time: 6 h 30 min
Day 6 – Argentière – Cheserys – Chamonix – Saint-Gervais
Ascent to the Cheserys Lakes, viewpoints near Lac Blanc, with views of Mont Blanc and the famous Chamonix peaks. Exceptional panorama: Aiguille du Midi, Verte, Drus, Tour Glacier, Bossons Glacier, Mer de Glace… Descent to Chamonix, then train transfer to Le Fayet and the “Le Valléen” cable car to Saint-Gervais, where luggage is collected.
Elevation gain 1,000 m / elevation loss 900 m – Effective walking time: 6 h
Walking times and elevation changes are provided for guidance only. The mountain leaders may adjust the program according to weather conditions, mountain conditions, and the participants’ level.
The 6-day Tour du Mont-Blanc trek takes you through three countries — France, Italy, and Switzerland — amidst some of Europe’s most spectacular Alpine landscapes. You begin your adventure in Les Contamines, with a panoramic warm-up along the ridges before crossing the Col de la Seigne, the true gateway into Italy and the majestic south face of Mont Blanc.
Crossing Courmayeur and the Italian Val Ferret reveals an impressive mineral and glacial landscape, dominated by the massif’s towering faces. Then, passing through the Grand Col Ferret, you enter Switzerland with its gentle alpine pastures, tranquil villages, and the distinctive luminous atmosphere.
From Champex, the ascent to the Fenêtre d’Arpette — one of the most spectacular passages of the TMB — leads to the Col de la Forclaz before a final remarkable day above Chamonix, with views of Mont Blanc, the Aiguille du Midi, the Drus, and the Mer de Glace.
A complete, varied, and immersive itinerary, alternating panoramic trails, easy off-trail sections, historic passages, and Alpine encounters. The combination of landscapes, cultures, and atmospheres makes it an exceptional trek, accessible to those wishing to experience the Tour du Mont Blanc in its most authentic form.

If you pay by credit card, feel free to check the insurance included with it.
