Details

This trip is designed for beginner mountaineers looking to experience their first high-altitude adventure. The itinerary combines the ascent of accessible peaks in the Monte Rosa range with nights in iconic refuges such as Mantova and Gnifetti, including the highest refuge in Europe, the Margherita Refuge.

The Monte Rosa massif is captivating with its vast glaciers and the variety of its peaks. The proposed ascents, while not highly technical, require good physical condition and allow you to progress on high-altitude terrain while learning the fundamentals of glacier mountaineering.

Between sustained effort and moments of contemplation, you will enjoy spectacular panoramas of the Swiss and Italian Alps: the Matterhorn, Mont Blanc, the Valais, and the Monte Rosa range. A formative and inspiring adventure to immerse yourself in the world of the 4,000-meter peaks.

Dates

Group outings: every Tuesday from late June to mid-September, depending on conditions. Private outings: daily from late June to mid-September, depending on conditions and refuge availability (preferably early in the week in July–August to avoid waiting at the Mont Blanc tunnel).

Registration and payment

Directly on our website or using the dated and signed registration form, accompanied by a 40% deposit and any optional insurance fees. The balance must be paid 60 days before departure.

Supervision and participants

A maximum of 4 people per guide. Group departures are guaranteed from 3 participants. You will be supervised by a mountain guide.

Physical and technical level

A good physical preparation is required for this ascent, it is intended for active individuals. You will be hiking for up to 8 hours per day, so you should prepare by engaging in “cardio” sports during long-duration sessions. Endurance sports such as cycling, running, or long hikes are recommended. Remember that for 2 days you will be hiking with an 8-kg backpack, which significantly increases the effort required, so during your training outings, practice walking with this additional weight.

You will be traveling on an unmarked high-mountain route and must be aware of the hazards associated with this activity (crevasses, serac falls, rockfall, avalanches, very low temperatures).

We are available to answer any questions you may have.
