Details

The complete Dômes de Miage traverse via the Durier Hut is a classic of high-mountain mountaineering. Known for the elegance of its snowy ridge and its isolation, this crossing is considered one of the most beautiful climbs in the Mont Blanc massif.

From the Miage chalets, the ascent to the Durier Hut via the Plan Glacier and the Col de Miage is already a true adventure, with cable sections and technical passages. On the second day, the route follows the entire ridge, from the fifth dome to the East summit (3673 m), before continuing with the classic crossing to the Aiguille de la Bérangère.

This demanding climb offers a rare high-altitude experience and a spectacular panorama of the surrounding massifs: Mont Blanc, Vanoise, Valais, and the Italian Alps. An exceptional route reserved for experienced mountaineers.

Physical and technical level

Mountaineering experience is required for this climb. Good preparation is essential for this ascent, aimed at fit individuals. You will be hiking for about 10 hours per day, so you should prepare by practicing long-duration cardio exercises. Endurance sports: cycling, running. And don’t forget, for 2 days you will be hiking with an 8-kilogram backpack, which significantly increases the effort required, so during your training outings, make sure to walk with this additional weight.

You will be traveling on an unmarked high-mountain route and must be aware of the hazards associated with this activity (crevasses, serac falls, rockfall, avalanches, very low temperatures).

We are available to answer any questions you may have.
