The ascent of the Dômes de Miage in 3 days is a progressive adventure, ideal for combining technical learning and glacier crossing. From the Tré-la-Tête Glacier to the elegant Dômes ridge, you will discover one of the most beautiful snow climbs in the Mont Blanc massif.

On the first day, the snow and ice school helps solidify your foundation in crampon use, roped travel, and progression. The second day is dedicated to the actual ascent, with the crossing of the Dômes or the ascent of the Bérangère, depending on conditions and the group’s level. The third day offers a varied descent to the valley, via Tré-la-Tête or Chaborgne.

This trip combines technical skills, endurance, and a stunning panorama of Mont Blanc, Bionnassay, and the surrounding ranges.

Physical and technical level

Good physical preparation is required for this ascent, aimed at fit individuals. You will be walking for up to around 10 hours per day, so you should prepare by practicing long-duration cardio exercises. Endurance sports: cycling, running, or hiking with a backpack. Don’t forget that for 3 days, you will be hiking with an 8-kilogram backpack, which significantly increases the effort required, so during your training outings, make sure to walk with this additional weight.

You will be traveling on an unmarked high-mountain route and must be aware of the hazards associated with this activity (crevasses, serac falls, rockfall, avalanches, very low temperatures).
