Details

The ascent of the Bérangère is an ideal alpine adventure for discovering the high mountains over two days. Far from the lifts, this route takes place in a pristine, wild atmosphere in the heart of the Mont Blanc massif.

On the first day, you will reach the Conscrits Hut (2602 m) after a steady ascent via the Tré-la-Tête Hut. This will be an opportunity to practice snow and ice techniques, learning crampon use and glacier travel skills.

The second day is dedicated to climbing the Aiguille de la Bérangère (3425 m). You will put the previous day’s skills into practice as you cross glaciers and snow slopes. At the summit, an exceptional viewpoint opens onto the Dôme de Miage, Mont Blanc, and the Swiss Alps. A demanding, technical, and unforgettable experience.

Physical and technical level

Very good physical preparation is necessary for this ascent; it is intended for fit and endurance-trained individuals. You will be walking for up to around 10 hours on the second day, so you must prepare by doing long-duration cardiovascular training. Endurance activities such as cycling, running, or long hikes.

Remember that for 2 days you will be hiking with an 8-kg backpack, which significantly increases the effort required, so during your training outings, practice walking with this additional weight.

You will be traveling on an unmarked high-mountain route; you must be aware of the hazards associated with this activity (rockfall, avalanches, very low temperatures).

We are available to answer any questions you may have.
