This winter outing combines a snowshoe hike with a unique mountain experience.
From Le Bettex, you set off in the late afternoon for a gentle walk through the forest. The accessible and gradual route (150 to 200 meters of elevation gain) allows you to admire the snow-covered landscapes in a peaceful atmosphere.
After about 1.5 hours of ascent, you reach an authentic yurt nestled in the heart of the forest.
Two options are available:
Apéritif Option (Tuesday – 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm)
A friendly break in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for families or friends.
Fondue Option (Thursday – 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm)
A traditional Savoyard fondue shared in an authentic setting, for an unforgettable mountain evening.
The return journey is made on snowshoes, often by headlamp, under the stars.
An ideal experience for:
Group option: Apéro on Tuesdays, Fondue on Thursdays.
Private option: subject to availability.
Directly on our website, by phone, or by email, as well as at our Saint-Gervais office year-round and at our Les Contamines office from the Christmas holidays onward.
Outing supervised by a mountain professional. The route is adapted to weather conditions and the level of the group.
Accessible from 8 years old.
Elevation gain: approximately 150 to 200 meters.
Total duration: Apéro option – around 3 hours; Fondue option – around 5 hours.
No previous snowshoeing experience is required, but a basic level of fitness allowing you to walk on snowy terrain is necessary.

Insurance is not included; you must have liability coverage to participate in these outings.
The outings start in Saint-Gervais / Le Bettex – at the Tourist Office by the snow front, accessible by car.
